Michael Wilcox is now ‘Assistant Director of IT Development’ in Information Services at the University of Kent. This new post brings responsibility for a range of teams including those involved in the web, technical and business services.
Previously (before 24 February 2010)
Michael Wilcox is ‘Head of Web Development and Support Services’, before that he was a ‘Web Development and Support Team Manager’ and before that he was a ‘Web Development Unit Manager’. He leads a team that helps looks after a large institutional website.
This blog is a place to record ideas about how to do manage a big site and experiences gained whilst doing this. It will also contain the occasional personal post which will touch on important things like family (and gadgets!)
Michael finds it strange that he is writing about himself in the third person…
