VPN on Windows Mobile

I have an Orange SPV C600. It has VPN. I wondered if I could get onto our intranet sites with it - specifically Sharepoint 3 sites with their automatic mobile site URLs.
It wasn’t intuitive, so for the record…

1. to set up the VPN connection, follow the advice here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/help/smartphone/connections.mspx

I found that where it suggests “My Corporate Network“, I had the choice of “Work”.

2. The above page mentions intranets and setting up “Work URL Exceptions”. I found that this page helped me understand what was happening:
