XCRI - eXchanging Course-Related Information
I should probably have heard about this before now… but the little SOA movie I posted about earlier mentioned XCRI - “eXchanging Course-Related Information”. We’ll be looking at our course info and how it’s delivered for different purposes soon so this is likely to be highly relevant.
What is it? The project site says:
XCRI is a JISC-funded project that aims:
To define a vocabulary and appropriate technology bindings (e.g. XML, RDF) for describing course-related information that encompasses course marketing, course quality assurance, enrolment and reporting requirements
Here’s what Google found for me:
- The XCRI project site
- JISC’s page including related projects
- CETIS Enterprise SIG Meeting: XCRI Showcase
- A mashup idea - but no actual link to the demo unfortunately
- mini projects which are implementing XCRI CAP, the Course Advertising Profile for XCRI. (best link I can find at the moment)
- And a mashup from the future: TripPlanner & XCRI.
