Small fonts became blocky fonts in firefox

Here’s something that was bothering me for a while and I couldn’t find a decent web entry anywhere about what the fix is, so I’m posting this solution to fill the gap.

In Firefox, I was seeing a problem with one particular web service that I use. The service displays web stats and on the graphs the legends were almost illegible - see the example screenshot which shows the bitmapping effect.

The solution turned out to be within Firefox preferences. Under Tools > Options > Content tab > Fonts & Colours section > Advanced, there is an option: ‘Minimum font size’. This was set to 10 for some reason, and resetting it to ‘none’ solved the problem.
